Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren have reportedly separated and have plans to divorce after nearly 17 years of marriage.
TMZ broke the news on Wednesday, citing sources with direct knowledge of the situation. However, there have apparently been signs that the marriage was in trouble, as both Alba and Warren have been spotted out in recent weeks without their wedding rings.
For her part, Alba attended a pre-Golden Globes party at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood on Saturday solo, with a bare left ring finger. Before that, she was seen out in Rome last month without her wedding ring alongside producer Andrea Iervolino, while preparing to work on the upcoming biographical sports drama, Maserati: The Brothers.
Meanwhile, Warren was seen out in Los Angeles last week likewise not wearing his wedding ring. The couple haven't been publicly seen together since November 2024.
The pair wed in 2008 after meeting on the set of Fantastic Four in 2004, in which Alba starred as the superhero Sue Storm and Warren was employed as a director's assistant. They went on to have three children; daughters Honor Marie, born in June 2008, and Haven Garner, born in August 2011, as well as a son, Hayes, whom they welcomed in December 2017.
The news comes following a cryptic Instagram post Alba posted to ring in 2025, which Warren was absent from.
"Here’s to a colorful past year that was filled with connection, growth, adventures, laughter, peace, sisterhood, transformation, rebirth, joy and so much love," the 43-year-old captioned the gallery of 20 images, which also included some ambiguous quotes. "Sending hugs to everyone going through it—cheers to 2025 and even more love to come!"
While speaking with People back in 2021, Alba explained that the so-called "secret" to their happy marriage was communication and planning regular date nights.
"At different times, there were different things that we needed," the Sin City actress said at the time. "Around the time I had the kids, it was like, 'I need [date night] once a week.' And he's been like, 'I need you to be present on the weekends and not work.' Over-communicating, maybe that's it."
"I don't think we have a secret at all. We just have to check each other," she added.
