Golden State basketball is on the way! Come join our game thread and chat about tonight’s matchup here.

The Golden State Warriors finish off their six-game homestand with Tuesday night’s matchup against the Miami Heat. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.

Previously with the Warriors:

Golden State snapped their two-game winning streak with a 129-99 blowout loss to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night. Despite a strong performance from Stephen Curry, who shot 8-of-12 from the field to lead the team with 26 points, the Warriors fell by 30 points in one of their most disappointing outings of the season.

Carelessness with the ball was a major issue, as the team committed 22 turnovers on the night. Head coach Steve Kerr didn’t overreact to the game, however, saying that the lopsided defeat is just as alarming as any other loss the team has gone through this season.

What to watch for tonight:

The Warriors will once again be without their second-leading scorer, Jonathan Kuminga, who is sidelined with a right ankle sprain and expected to miss at least three more weeks. Joining him on the injury list are Brandin Podziemski and Gary Payton II, both of whom will be unavailable for Tuesday night’s matchup against the Heat.

After Kuminga, Andrew Wiggins is the team’s next highest scorer at 16.7 points per game. He’s had a resurgence this season, shooting 45.5% from the field and an impressive 39.5% from beyond the arc. He played a pivotal role in Golden State’s victory over the Memphis Grizzlies during the first leg of last weekend’s back-to-back, dropping 24 points and providing critical defensive energy in Curry’s absence.

Wiggins’ two-way presence will be crucial as the Warriors face a scrappy Miami team playing in the second half of a back-to-back after losing a double overtime thriller to the Kings on Monday night.
