Oscar-nominated actor Austin Butler and model Kaia Gerber have reportedly parted ways after three years together, according to TMZ.
Sources reportedly with direct knowledge of the situation told the outlet that the couple split up toward the end of 2024. Butler was subsequently absent from Gerber’s family trip to Mexico with parents Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber for the new year. Though both actors were part of Golden Globe-nominated productions this year, neither of them were individually nominated, and both weren't at this year's ceremony.
The couple was first romantically linked in December 2021, though they largely kept their relationship out of the public eye during their time together. "Honestly, I feel like so few things in my life are private, and that is one of the things that I try to keep as sacred as possible," Gerber told WSJ magazine last February, and Butler told GQ in 2022 "I don't think there's anything I want to share" when asked his relationship.

Butler is coming off of his role as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen in Dune: Part Two, which was nominated for Best Motion Picture (Drama) and Best Original Score at the 2025 Golden Globes. Undergoing a radical transformation for the film was an exciting job for the actor. "I found it very liberating to be able to look in the mirror and not see myself," he told Esquire last year. "It was exciting to get to do something completely different from anything I've done."
