LOVE Island All Stars fans have been left shocked after they worked out Marcel Somerville’s “real age” as he gets ready to return to the show.
The Sun has confirmed that the reality star, who appeared on series three back in 2017, is heading back into the villa next week.
Fans have been left shocked to find out how old All Stars Islander Marcel Somerville really is[/caption]Marcel has been in the entertainment industry for many years after shooting to fame in the early noughties as part of Blazin’ Squad.
The dad-of-one – who is still married to estranged wife Rebecca Vieira – was actually born in 1986, and turned 39 today.
This means that the rapper – who previously left the villa with fellow All Stars 2025′ Islander Gabby Allen – is the oldest star on the show.
The youngest member of the line-up so far is Catherine Agbaje, who is 24, and was born in 2000.
When fans worked this out, they immediately took to social media to share their shock.
One tweeted: “Why is someone near 40 going in the villa. Like not even trying to be mean but the reality is Hannah did not have luck last year, this show isn’t going to have the crowd for him.”
While another said: “Just went to look up Marcel’s age gosh he turns 39 today, there’s no way he’s lasting long in there!
“He’ll probably drop out on day three or get dumped at the end of the week.”
This one added: “Marcel going back to love island has been killing me all day you’re 40 years old with children at home and on top of that still legally married.”
Another chimed in: “wtf?? Ain’t Marcel like 40 tf is going there for ?”
This latest revelation comes hot on the heels of fans being shocked to find out Marcel is actually still married to wife Rebecca.
The pair got engaged in 2020 and then welcomed son Roman into the world in 2021.
The former couple tied the knot in 2022.
Last February, it was revealed that Marcel had walked out on his wife Rebecca after she was accused of having an affair with a US pop star.
Marcel’s wife Rebecca Vieira admitted she ‘cheated’ on him and issued an apology[/caption]Days later she admitted to “cheating” on the Blazin Squad star and issued a grovelling apology.
As Marcel gets set to return to the villa some fans have insisted that he should “get a divorce” before going on the show.
One unhappy viewer wrote: “Marcel coming on this show is just diabolical. Grow up and file for divorce Sir.”
A second posted: “Right because like I’m sorry but I do NOT want married people going on this show, even if they are going through a divorce. Finish the divorce.”
“He shouldn’t even be ALLOWED to be there. Producers are just as much at fault for casting a f****** married man,” a third fumed.
This person commented: “This is even worse! So he’s just plain immoral for that. He has a wife and he’s doing Love Island.”
Another added: “This is actually diabolical behaviour. His wife and son will be watching it from home. I can’t.”
The Blazin Squad star appeared on Love Island in 2017 and dated Gabby Allen – who is also returning to All Stars[/caption]Last March, Marcel took to Instagram to open up about how he had been coping with the split.
Sharing some sweet snaps of himself and their son Roman, Marcel said: “The last 3 weeks have rocked me to the core.
“There’s no right way to handle betrayal and I’ve experienced so many feeling since everything happen that i feel a different emotion every hour of the day.”
He continued: “Anger, Embarrassment, anxiety, depression, questioning my worth, loneliness, grief.
“And some times those feelings coupled with the noise of having the whole world knowing my situation and everyone having opinions and telling me what I should do and not do can make you make choice in haste.
“The so called “diss track” wasn’t an attack, it was going to be my statement about the situation but it wasn’t the best way to do it, I realised this after the fact which is why I chose to remove the snippet.”
