A seven-year-old girl who was seriously hurt in a car crash in Lincolnshire died the following day in hospital.
The collision between two cars happened on Friday at around 5.45pm on the B1202, in Metheringham Heath Lane.
The girl sustained serious injuries and was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
Sadly she died just before 4.30am on Saturday morning, Lincolnshire Police confirmed.
The family is being supported by specially-trained officers.
An investigation is on-going to find out how and why the crash happened and the force is appealing for witnesses.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: ‘We continue to ask for help from anyone who may have been driving along the B1202 at a similar time to the incident, particularly if you witnessed or captured any footage of the incident itself or saw either a blue Kia Rio, a white Citroen Relay or any other vehicles along that road.’
