The 42-year-old Queen rapper was sued by Brandon Garrettt, who allegedly worked as a manager on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour earlier this year.
Details of the lawsuit, and an initial response from Nicki‘s legal team, emerged on Friday (January 3). However, there were new developments, including the mention of possible criminal charges, that emerged over the weekend.

According to reporting by TMZ, Brandon is seeking damages from the rapper and accused her of “assault, battery and intentional inflection of emotional distress.”
He described a heated exchange that he had with Nicki during a tour stop in Detroit, Michigan in the legal documents. According to Brandon, she became heated and said that his “life was over” after she learned that he sent someone else to grab a prescription for her.
“Are you f***ing crazy having him pick up my prescription? You have lost your f***ing mind and if my husband were here, he would knock out your f***ing teeth. You’re a dead man walking. You just f***ed up your whole life and you will never be anyone, I’ll make sure of it,” Nicki allegedly told him.
He also alleged that she hit him on the face and the wrist, causing physical harm.
On Saturday (January 4), TMZ reported that the Detroit Police are examining the allegations and might press charges.
However, Nicki‘s lawyer Judd Burstein denied the allegations and said that her team was unaware of the lawsuit in a statement shared with the outlet.
“At this time, no complaint has been served upon Mrs. Petty (Nicki’s married name), and therefore, we are unaware of the specific allegations. However, if the lawsuit is as reported by TMZ, it is completely false and frivolous. We are confident that the matter brought by this ex assistant will be resolved swiftly in Mrs. Petty’s favor,” he said.
