New Delhi: Veteran Indian batsman Virat Kohli was once again dismissed in a familiar manner, edging a delivery outside his off-stump that comfortably sailed into the slip field. Kohli has now been dismissed behind the wicket seven times in this series, leaving him with a significant run deficit after his century in the second innings of the Perth Test.
As Kohli showed clear frustration over his dismissal, his wife Anushka Sharma’s reaction quickly became the talk of the internet. Sharma appeared concerned and was later captured shaking her head. It’s worth mentioning that Kohli is nearing the end of his career, having already declared his retirement from T20 cricket. The 36-year-old has accumulated only 417 runs across 19 innings in 2024, at a modest average of 24.52.

Jasprit Bumrah leads team India for 5th Test:
With Rohit Sharma sitting out of the fifth match in Sydney, Jasprit Bumrah took over as captain. The Indian batsmen struggled once again, and the visitors were bowled out for just 185 runs. In response, Australia scored 9 runs in the first 3 overs but lost the wicket of Usman Khawaja.
India’s hopes of winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy have ended, as they trail 2-1 in the 5-match series. However, they still have an opportunity to keep the coveted trophy if they manage to draw the series by winning the current Sydney Test.
