ONE of Samsung’s biggest Android rivals has kickstarted 2025 with a brand new budget smartphone with a battery like no other.
Honor has unveiled the Magic7 Lite and claims it can last up to three days on the back of single charge.
New Honor phone’s battery comes in larger than any Samsung or iPhone device[/caption] Handset is available in two colours[/caption]On paper, the Magic7 Lite’s battery is bigger than many others you’ll find on the market in the UK currently.
It measures in at 6600mAh – by comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra’s battery is 4855mAh and the iPhone 16 Pro Max stands at 4,685mAh.
It’s been made to withstand extreme temperatures too, capable of performing as low as -30°C and as hot as 55°C.
Elsewhere on the all-important battery front, Honor says the device uses clever AI to maintain continuous calls for up to 50 minutes when the battery falls to just two per cent.
And it supports 60W fast charging as well.
The Chinese firm also boasts other enhancements, such as improved ultra bounce anti drop technology, saying that the new phone can survive drops from up to two metres.
Magic7 Lite features a glossy, bright 6.78-inch OLED display, as well as a camera system with 108 megapixel sensor.
It weighs in at 189g and is 7.98mm thick.
There are two colour options available – titanium purple and titanium black.
“We are delighted to get 2025 started with a bang by bringing to European markets a new benchmark in style, durability and performance with the Magic7 Lite,” said Bond Zhang, CEO of Honor UK&I.
“We are particularly excited to be able to offer customers an ultra-durable, AI-powered device with 3-day battery life and top-quality photography capabilities at a mid-range price point.”
Despite all the top range features, the Magic7 Lite retails at £399 when it’s released on January 15.
Honor is also offering customers a free pair of earphones worth £149.
The bonus is available for a limited time from selected UK networks in the coming weeks:
