A 24-year-old youth named Karthik was arrested for trying to burgle the house of a widow in Nanjangud taluk and attempting to molest her. The widow's family caught and tied him to a pillar before handing him over to the police. Karthik knew the widow, who worked as a cook at a hostel and lived alone with her daughter.
