ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Code Blue has been declared in Schenectady County and Albany County due to the upcoming inclement weather forecast for the area. Homeless residents in the area are advised to contact the city’s designated facilities for shelter.
In Schenectady County, the Code Blue will remain in effect from Thursday evening through Friday at 7 p.m. The county’s homeless shelters will extend their hours of operation to offer aid:
Bethesda House, operating out of the State Street Presbyterian Church
Bridges of NY
The Salvation Army’s Evangeline Booth Miracle Home
City Mission of Schenectady
Schenectady County Department of Social Services
In Albany County, the Code Blue will remain in effect from Thursday evening through Sunday. Homeless residents can contact any of the facilities below or call the HATAS Homeless Hotline at (518) 463-2124.
