After a year of battling with the paparazzi and shutting down her haters, Sydney Sweeney just ended 2024 in style. On her personal Instagram account, the actress shared a post with a caption that read: "The last few days of 2024 will forever be some of my favorite."
What followed can only be described as a rock star move. In the gallery of 15 photos, Sweeney included snaps of herself on a jet ski, partying with friends, and going all-out in flapper attire; complete with a 1920s-style vintage dress and matching, period-accurate bandeau on her head. If there was any doubt that Sweeney is among our reigning movie stars, these photos prove otherwise.
The photo of her in a bikini on the jet ski is certainly eye-catching, but the overall vibe is this is somebody who knows how to have a good time.
Sydney Sweeney just starred in Ron Howard's 2024 film Eden alongside Jude Law and Ana de Armas. The film does not yet have a wide release date but made waves in film festivals for its historical accuracy. The movie is set in 1929, partially based on a true story of European settlers coming to the Galápagos Islands. So, clearly, the flapper style wasn't just for kicks!
Sydney Sweeney's next big movie is all about boxer Christy Martin and does not yet have a release date. She, sadly, will not be reunited with Glen Powell for his upcoming Running Man movie, but the buzz is strong that she will partner with director Edgar Wright for a reboot of Barbarella very soon. She's also starring alongside Amanda Seyfried in The Housemaid later this year.
