No feelings were spared when 6-year-old Kaavia James recounted a recent family trip with her parents Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade. Shady Baby came out in full force with her brutal honesty in a new video, and we can’t stop laughing.
“taking the bull by the horns one last time before the new year ????,” the Bring It On alum captioned a new video on Instagram. “thank you for having us @crittervillefarm,” she added, tagging Critterville Farm Sanctuary in Riverhead, New York. The trio visited the animal sanctuary recently, and let’s just say, Kaavia was less than impressed by the experience.
“Who likes the farm?” Union asks her daughter in the video. “You!” she answers.
“I thought you’d enjoy it,” Union adds.
“I did… just, you like it so much than me,” Kaavia says, making Wade laugh.
In clips from the visit, you can tell it’s true. Union is dressed for country life in sweatpants, a hoodie, a scarf over her hair and tall boots. She’s living her best life, smiling as she feeds ponies, smiles with cows, checks out donkeys, and more. At one point, a dog even jumps on her and gives her a kiss! When the camera pans over to Kaavia, who looks adorable with her hair in two pigtails and a huge puffy coat, Wade is holding her up as she gives a pig on the ground the side-eye. She is clearly having none of that!
“What did we do today?” Union checks in with her daughter at the end of the video.
“We went to the farm,” Kaavia responded, looking melancholy in her popcorn-print pajamas. “I never, ever been to a farm before,” she continued.
“And did you love it?” her mom prompted.
With no hesitation, Kaavia answered, “No.” “Not that much,” she added. We could tell girl! You gotta love the honesty though.
Union reveals they asked her daughter, “If you had a plane, where would you want to go?” to which Kaavia responded, “LA!” making her parents laugh. We love a confident girl who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to say so, and we are ready to bring that energy with us into 2025.
“Kavya said nope! Not again! I’m a city girl!! ????????????????” one person commented. Someone else wrote, “Kaav is like ‘did it and don’t have a desire to do it again’ ????????”
“I feel you Kaav. The farm is only for a moment…the city is where you find real excitement. Quite an expressive child,” one person commented. “Babygirl still a savage ❤️????,” someone else said.
Kaavia definitely keeps her parents on her toes, but they love her so much more for it. When she turned 6 in November, the Riff Raff star wrote the sweetest tribute to the little girl.
“Miss Kaavia James Union Wade is 6 today!!!” Union wrote. “You are a miracle who has blessed everyone with your kindness, compassion, elite humor, intelligence and your loving soul. You are a gift to your family, blood and chosen, and so many people across the world. We love you beyond measure and we celebrate your cute little self daily!!”
