At least 10 people people were injured in a nightclub shooting in New York last night.
Four men fired at least 30 gunshots in a crowd outside Amazura nightclub in Jamaica, Queens, before 11.20pm local time, New York Post reports.
Attendees were queuing to enter a private event at the venue, which was hosting around 90 people at the time of the shooting.
The attackers then fled on foot, heading west along 91st Street to 143rd Place.
They then entered a light-coloured sedan with what police described as ‘out of state plates’.
Six men and four women were injured in the attack. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The victims are aged between 16 and 20, police said in a press conference this morning.
Although the shooting came on the same day as a US Army veteran flying an ISIS flag drove a truck into a crowd in New Orleans, killed 15, police do not believe the shooting to be a terrorist attack.
They are investigating whether it is gang-related.
Police chief Philip Rivera said: ‘There is zero tolerance for these senseless shootings, these horrible acts of violence on our streets, and those responsible for this crime will be apprehended and brought to justice.’
He added: ‘The public has been very instrumental in recent weeks to help us catch dangerous individuals like these four men, and we ask the public – if you see something, say something.’
