In 2024, the National Commission for Women received 25,743 complaints, with 24% related to domestic violence. Complaints about the right to live with dignity and dowry harassment were also significant. Uttar Pradesh reported the highest number of complaints. While overall complaints declined from 2023, numbers remain higher than pre-pandemic levels.
