IT’S the time of year when fitness is at the forefront of our minds.
I – along with most people I know – am starting to feel the effects of weeks of overindulging during the festive period.

In January 2024, 43 per cent of Brits made a new year’s resolution to lose weight, while a separate study found that 17 per cent of those gave up on their diets within the first month.
In the celeb world, weight loss was a big talking point in 2024, and Ozempic was the buzzword on everyone’s lips.
Scores of stars showing off quick and often dramatic weight losses on the red carpet led to rumours swirling about who did and didn’t use weight loss jabs to get their thinner frames.
But, according to experts, 2025 looks set to be more about serious fitness rather than serious fat loss.

Here, we reveal the five most popular celebrity workouts of 2025.
REFORMER PILATES
Best for: Long, lean limbs and chiselled abs
It’s the go-to workout for everyone from Sydney Sweeney to Kendall Jenner, and reformer Pilates has become increasingly popular among the rich, beautiful, and famous – and for good reason.
Using a specialised machine called a reformer, which allows you to work isolated muscle groups, it’s one of the best exercises for improving flexibility and overall body conditioning – in other words, toning specific body parts, like the abs and bum.
Celebrities including Adele, and Jennifer Aniston have praised reformer Pilates for its transformative effects.
The low-impact exercises are designed to be gentle on the joints, while still providing a challenging workout, and the controlled, precise movements help to build long, lean muscles.

Best for: Full body workout
Boxing has become a favourite workout among the likes of Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima and Ellie Goulding, who have all incorporated the high-intensity sport into their fitness routines.
With a combination of aerobic and anaerobic exercises, boxing helps to build cardiovascular endurance, strength, and muscle tone – and is popular among the Victoria’s Secret models as a result.
Movements including punching, ducking and weaving engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously, including the core, arms, shoulders, back, and legs, leading to a balanced and well-defined physique.
The intense nature of boxing makes it an excellent stress-relieving exercise and has been hailed by stars working in the cut-throat entertainment industry as a therapeutic outlet.

Best for: Building muscle without bulk
Calisthenics has gained somewhat of a celebrity cult following in stars like Madonna, Shakira, and Halle Berry, who have all praised its ability to sculpt and strengthen using only body weight.
Unlike traditional gym workouts that require specialised equipment, calisthenics can be performed anywhere, making it an ideal choice for celebrities with demanding schedules and frequent travel.
Exercises such as push-ups, pull-ups, squats and planks can be easily integrated into daily routines, ensuring that fitness goals are met without the need for a gym.
By using body weight as resistance, these exercises engage multiple muscle groups simultaneously, promoting balanced muscle development and improving overall physical functionality without bulking.
The exercises involve dynamic movements that stretch and lengthen muscles, contributing to greater flexibility and a wider range of motion which is particularly beneficial for performers.

Best for: Quick results
For stars like Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Victoria Beckham who have gyms at home, bootcamp has become a popular fitness choice thanks to quick results.
Bootcamp exercises are designed to maximise calorie burn and build strength in a short period, making them perfect for busy mums who are juggling hectic work and home schedules.
A typical bootcamp session will include a mix of cardio, strength training and functional movements, which helps to keep the workouts engaging and challenging and targets different muscle groups.
It also allows celebrity PTs to target specific areas of the body to work on with results in rapid time.
