PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man was sentenced to nearly 32 years in prison Tuesday for starting a fire inside a liquor store in Dallas that caused "severe damage" to the property.
Russell Allen Littleton, 55, was found guilty of two counts of first-degree arson and five counts of second-degree assault as well as a count each of first-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief, according to the Polk County district attorney’s office.
Evidence showed that Littleton “endangered the lives of numerous responding law enforcement officers and caused severe damage to the building and its contents,” officials said.
Littleton will spend 380 months in prison with three years of post-prison supervision and will not be eligible for early release for 19 years.
