ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Saratoga Springs will be hosting a two-day New Year’s celebration on Tuesday and Wednesday. The city’s police department has announced road closures and parking restrictions that will be in place during the events.
On Tuesday, the celebration kicks off at 3 p.m. with the New Year’s Eve Fest, which features family-friendly activities, live concerts, and fireworks. Road closures and parking restrictions will be implemented throughout the day, with all closures in effect by 5 p.m. Most roadways are expected to fully reopen by 8:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, the celebration will come to a close with the First Day 5K, which kicks off at 11 a.m. Road closures will begin at 8 a.m. and be in full effect by 10 a.m. Roads will reopen individually as the last runner passes the intersection. They are expected to fully reopen by 2 p.m.

Beginning at 10 a.m., the Arterial will be reduced to one lane. Vehicles approaching Broadway will only be able to go straight to Van Dam Street (no left turn onto Broadway)
