The Bruins will try to close out 2024 with a win in the nation’s capital.
Boston and Washington are set to meet for a matinee matchup Tuesday at Capital One Arena. The Eastern Conference foes had their first head-to-head meeting of the season last Monday when the B’s cruised to a 4-1 win at TD Garden.
The visitors’ lineup is expected to look a tad different than it did in Saturday night’s rout of the Blue Jackets. Fabian Lysell was sent back down to Providence after his NHL debut against Columbus, so John Beecher is poised to return to the lineup. Jeremy Swayman is projected to stay in the Black and Gold’s net two days after logging his third shutout of the season.
Here are the projected lines and defensive pairings for the New Year’s Eve tilt, which will have complete coverage on NESN beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET.
