MICHAEL VAN GERWEN has launched a blistering attack on Peter Wright – and the Scot’s WIFE.

He said: “I just heard another guy saying that, yeah.”
Van Gerwen then stunningly suggested that ‘Snakebite’ doesn’t have a say over what goes on in his house.
The Dutchman continued: “Every year the worlds he talks so much nonsense.
“Peter Wright, yeah. He’s always allowed to talk c***.
“No one takes him seriously on the tour as well because he’s not allowed an opinion at home as well. do you know what I mean?”
Van Gerwen seemingly suggested that Wright’s wife Joanne – who styles his wacky and colourful mohawks – runs the show.
The jibe could be in reference to Wright’s admission that his other half gives him a weekly allowance – despite him having won MILLIONS during his career.

“I was at a preview night when asked the question.

“I get my £212-per-week and just like playing my darts and trying to win trophies.

His jibe at the Wrights aside, Van Gerwen was impressed by his rival’s stunning victory over reigning champion Luke Humphries.
He said: “It is what it is. Two good players playing against each other, then, yeah, things like that can happen.
“I was surprised with the way how Peter Wright played.
“I think he played a dominant performance, really fair play to him.”
