MOSCOW, Russia: A U.S. citizen, Eugene Spector, was sentenced by a Russian court to 15 years in jail for espionage in a closed-door trial, Russian state news agencies reported this week.
Spector, who was born in Russia and later moved to the U.S., is already serving a 3.5-year sentence in Russia for bribery. Last August, he was also charged with espionage, but state media has not shared details of this case.
