A Truth Social post by President-elect Donald Trump's Truth Social post in which he endorsemed Mike Johnson as Speaker took a major dig at Vice President Kamala Harris' failed campaign.
The Washington Post reported over the weekend that President Joe Biden believes that he could have defeated Trump if he had stayed in the race — and the incoming president appears to agree that Biden would have run a different kind of campaign.
"Democrats are being excoriated for their effort, having wasted 2.5 Billion Dollars, much of it unaccounted for, with some being used to illegally buy endorsements ($11,000,000 to Beyoncé, who never even sang a song, $2,000,000 to Oprah for doing next to nothing, and even $500,000 to Reverend AL, a professional con man and instigator, who agreed to 'interview' their 'star spangled' candidates, Kamala and Joe)" said Trump on Truth Social.

Beyoncé's mom, Tina Knowles, fact-checked the rumor that her daughter was paid to endorse Harris, while Oprah's production company was paid $1 million to stage a town hall with Harris, reported the celebrity site TMZ.
While Trump is inflating reports of how much Harris' team spent, the failed campaign has been criticized for "pricey rallies, a splashy Oprah town hall, celebrity concerts, and even drone shows. It was a spree that averaged roughly $100 million per week," the New York Times reported after the election.
While the Times noted the campaign dropped nearly half a billion dollars on digital ads and slick commercials, Trump's campaign narrowly outspent Harris in broadcast television advertising during October.
