This morning will start off mostly cloudy with mild temperatures reaching into the low 50s. Winds will gust up to 30 mph, making for a gloomy start to the last Monday of 2024. Light rain showers are expected this afternoon, transitioning to a wintery mix for counties north of US-36 during the overnight hours.
A cold front will push through tonight, dropping temperatures from the low 50s today to the upper 30s by Tuesday. Winds will continue to gust up to 30 mph out of the northwest. Clouds will gradually decrease throughout Tuesday, leading to a sunny yet cold start to 2025 on Wednesday, with highs struggling to reach the upper 30s.
Even colder air is expected to move in by the weekend, with highs in the upper 20s. By Sunday, there’s an increasing chance of accumulating snowfall.
