TWO sisters have taken the internet by storm after revealing a controversial secret about their relationship.
Mum-of-two Timara, from New Zealand, admitted her sister is dating her ex-hubby – who is also the father of her children.
The mum-of-two recently shocked thousands of TikTok users after revealing her sister is dating her former hubby[/caption]Although it’s an unusual situation many wouldn’t approve of, Timara has decided to look past it after finding out about her sibling’s relationship with her ex.
”There wasn’t really a conversation, I just noticed they were together and that was that,” the 37-year-old said, before explaining why she wasn’t majorly upset by the news.
She added: ”I’m okay with it because everybody deserves love and happiness.
“My focus is on my own life, my little family and making sure I’m there for my daughter mentally and emotionally because she’s the only one that matters in the situation.”
The bizarre confession, which was recently shared on TikTok, shocked thousands online and left people totally divided.
Whilst some couldn’t imagine seeing their sister dating an ex-partner, others admired Timara’s strength to continue the relationship with her sister.
”It’s keeping it in the family. Yep it’s weird but I choose to not be bothered by it,” the mother captioned a video.
Chatting to Femail, Timara revealed that while she and her former husband were married for ten years, they separated after the first year.
The couple, who share kids together, didn’t get a divorce until earlier this year.
The video swiftly caught the attention of baffled social media users, however Timara wasn’t phased by any negative comments.
”Eight billion people in this world sis and you decide you want your brother in-law. Goodness me,” one wrote.
”So if they have babies your babies will be siblings and first cousins,” another pointed out.
”Well you definitely learnt to share your toys growing up or give them to the less fortunate,” someone else joked.
Another reader dubbed their relationship ”gross on all levels” and said the sister settled for ”sloppy seconds”.
Someone else said she would cut all contact with their sister if she did the same thing.
YouGov looked into how Brits find love, and your best bet is at work or through friends according to the data.
However, there were also plenty of others who didn’t judge the sisters or their family.
”Good on you. I know what I be doing to my sis if that was us. Left, right, goodnight,” one wrote.
”You’re a better woman then me cause I could never,” another chimed in.
”Love this so much not cause it’s something I’d do but because you aren’t about to let a man come between you and your sister,” a third commented.
”We listen, we don’t judge,” someone else added.
