A WOMAN has spoken of her plan to ruin her neighbour’s business if his clients don’t stop parking on her drive.
She said she’s often unable to leave or access her home after work because of the cars blocking the road.
Her biggest worry however is what she will do if her unwell mother needs an ambulance and it’s unable to reach their house.
Since her neighbour started his car repair company their narrow street has been littered with vehicles parked haphazardly.
The woman explained customers have been parking along the lane, which is “blocking” and “obscuring” the entrance to her property.
Despite having a good relationship with her neighbour, the woman added this happens “at least once or twice a week”.
She added not too long ago a truck was left there for the whole weekend.
“The man told me that I don’t own my laneway, and his customers could park there if they want to. He said the Township owns it.
“Now, the Township does have a right of way to access a creek and culvert, but we pay taxes on and maintain that land,” she said.
The woman added she was considering putting up a fence to prevent his customers from parking on the lane.
She said: “All because he thought it was cool to block my driveway, and then had the audacity tell me that he would keep doing it.”
The story posted online caused a flurry of responses, with many users offering their advice on how to ease the situation.
One suggested the lady avoided erecting a fence, saying the neighbour would “probably just file for an easement to get access restored.”
They added: “I’d get a contract with a towing company. They’ll put up signs and they’ll have all of the paperwork ready to go for towing them away.”
Another user suggested: “An electronic gate, and he can pay an access fee.”
While a third person said: “Put up a ‘No parking, violators will be towed’, sign and start having the cars towed.
One study by Compare the Market revealed the top reason British neighbour's argue
“The jacka** will either reign his customers in or go out of business from the lost clients.”
This comes as a young woman was left raging after she was threatened by her neighbour for parking outside his home.
Bekah, from the UK, took to social media after the incident to inform viewers of the latest drama.
In the clip, she said: “The cheek of this fully grown man.”
Bekahh had issues with parking in her neighbourhood as there was nowhere to park near her house.
Instead, she was opting for public roads about a five-minute walk away but had got in trouble with another neighbour.
She was asked to stop parking outside their house as it made it difficult to get their cars out of the driveway.
Earlier this year, a woman shared how she got revenge on her pesky neighbour who kept parking on her driveway.
The 30-year-old explained that her neighbour, Linda, does so without ever asking if it’s ok.
Taking to Reddit, the woman explained that the problem had been going on for months, despite asking Linda to stop.
“Well, today things finally came to a head,” she explained.
“I woke up early for an appointment only to find Linda’s car parked in my driveway again, blocking me in.
“My husband had already left for work, so I knocked on her door and waited for about 15 minutes, but there was no answer. I even tried calling her, but her phone went straight to voicemail.”
