WASHING clothes hanging around the house can be a real eyesore, especially with the UK’s unpredictable weather.
But for many Brits, it’s a necessity.
This homeowner was getting annoyed with her laundry hanging around her tiny home – she needed to get her clothes dry one way or another[/caption] Britt revealed a trick to getting her clothes dry and it’s completely out of the way[/caption]For those with smaller homes, it can sometimes feel like the laundry is taking over your space.
One clever homeowner, however, has come up with a genius solution to get her clothes dry without cluttering up her home.
After getting “sick” of laundry racks cluttering up her tiny house, Britt, known as ‘with_britt’ on TikTok, created her own simple pulley drying rack that hangs high and out of sight.
She took to TikTok to share how she made the clever device.
First, Britt measured and assembled some wood, gluing and screwing it together to form the rack.
After spray painting it white, she threaded string through the rack and attached hooks to her ceiling.
The string then weaves through these hooks, creating a pull system.
Now, Britt can lower the drying rack to hang clothes, then pull the string to lift it back up, freeing up valuable floor space.
Her video gained a lot of attention, with people rushing to the comments section to praise her for her idea.
Many were left stunned by the creativity of it.
One wrote: “Ok but this is new level smart,” before then adding: “People need to know about this.”
Another said: “This is what we needed when you were little.”
A third commented: “Wait this is so cool! This is how people dried laundry in the mid-1800s!”
Whilst someone else gushed: “That is genius.”
