A WOMAN has revealed that she cheated on her fiancé with her neighbour and is now pregnant.
Not only is she expecting a child, but she is unsure on who the father is.
Keen to open up on the situation, the woman took to social media to reveal all, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting on Reddit, on the r/TrueOffMyChest thread, the anonymous 24-year-old titled her post ‘I may be carrying my neighbour’s baby’.
She then explained that she is currently 20 weeks pregnant with a baby girl and doesn’t know how to break the news to her 27-year-old fiancé that she is unsure on who the father is.
She admitted: “The problem is that I don’t know who her father is and I don’t know how to tell my fiancé.”
Sharing some context on the situation, she penned: “We moved into our apartment complex about a year ago. We’ve been together for three years, and this was our first time living together.
“When we were moving into our apartment, a lot of our neighbours noticed and introduced themselves. There were a lot of older people, mostly families that have been living here for years, and a few younger people around our age.
“It’s a really nice area, not far from downtown, and we really thought we would be living here until we could buy a place of our own.
“While we were moving in, one of our neighbours introduced himself. He was around the same age as my fiancé and I.”
The young woman acknowledged that the couple soon became friends with their neighbour, as she added: “He offered to show us how the callbox worked and then we chatted about all the local spots to go to.
“He actually ended up exchanging numbers with my fiancé and we all became pretty good friends.
“We would go over for football games, game nights, holiday parties and such. He really loved to entertain and introduced us to a lot of other cool people in the area.”
But things quickly went to the next level between her and her neighbour when she went through a ‘rough patch’ with her fiancé.
She confessed: “This was our first time living with a significant other and it was very hard.
“We had a lot of arguments and struggled to find a compromise in a lot of situations. He even stayed with a friend for a few weeks during this time and I thought we were done.

“During this time when he was gone, I ended up sleeping with my neighbour.
“I was out at a bar without my fiancé and he came over to say ‘hi’. He bought me a drink and I told him what was going on.
“We ended up talking until the bar closed and then went back to his place. It was just a one time thing.

They start to take their phone everywhere with them
In close relationships, it’s normal to know each other’s passwords and use each other’s phones, if their phone habits change then they may be hiding something.
Aaron says: “If your partner starts changing their passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful.”
“You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something.”
They start telling you less about their day
When partners cheat they can start to avoid you, this could be down to them feeling guilty or because it makes it easier for them to lie to you.
“If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don’t want to do things with you any more or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag.”
“Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be tough, remembering all of your lies is impossible and it’s an easy way to get caught out,” says Aaron.
Their libido changes
Your partner’s libido can change for a range of reasons so it may not be a sure sign of cheating but it can be a red flag according to Aaron.
Aaron says: “Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating. You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren’t there before.”
They become negative towards you
Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and to them, it will feel good, this can cause tension and anxiety within themselves which they will need to justify.
“To get rid of the tension they feel inside they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere. Maybe you haven’t walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime. A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal and if you experience this your partner could be cheating,” warns Aaron.
“A few days later, my fiancé and I worked things out and he brought his stuff back. We made up and everything since then has been great.”
But now, the woman is unsure on what to do next, as she continued: “I found out that I was pregnant a few weeks later and we were so excited.

“Well, now I’m 20 weeks and I didn’t even think about the possibility that it could be my neighbours’ until I ran into him this morning.
“He said ‘hey’ like he normally does, and then kind of did a double take. I have “popped” so this is really the first week I actually look pregnant and not like I went ham at a buffet.

“I placed my hand on my bump, noticing that he was staring and he said ‘congratulations’. It wasn’t until then that it all came back to me and I thought about the timeline. There was definitely overlap.
“The chances are so so small, but there was overlap. I don’t know if I should tell my fiancé, if it’s even worth it because the chances are so small.”
Reddit users were gobsmacked by the woman’s claims and many quickly flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on the situation.

“Not bringing it up to the fiance upon reconciliation? Continuing to keep it a secret? No.”

Meanwhile, someone else agreed: “The longer you wait to talk to your fiancé the worst things will get.
“It’s going to take a lot of courage to talk to him about what happened but it needs to be done ASAP.”
