TOMMY CREAMER is set to make his 100th appearance for the Seagulls in the New Year’s Day home game against Mold Alexandra (2pm kick-off, weather permitting).
The 26-year-old joined the Bay from Conwy in the 2021/22 season, making his debut as a second half substitute in the 4-0 away win at Penrhyncoch, and making his first start away to Buckley Town a fortnight later.
He missed most of the rest of that season with a broken leg, suffered in the ‘derby’ against Llandudno, but has virtually been an ever present in the side since then. He scored 10 goals in 36 appearances during the championship winning 22/23 campaign, and scored Bay’s first ever goal in the Cymru Premier the following season with a spectacular long range effort against Barry Town that was short-listed for goal of the season.
He has played in all 22 league and cup games for Bay this campaign and actually scored the winner in Bay’s 1-0 victory away to Mold Alex back in August. He will be hoping to bring in the New Year by extending Bay’s unbeaten league run to 17 games against a Mold side who are currently fifth in the table after Saturday’s 2-1 home win against Flint Mountain.
The Seagulls look likely to be without Will McKinley after he was injured in the Boxing Day game at Bangor and taken to hospital. The good news is that the x-rays came back all clear, but Danny Harrison reports that the knee injury needs to be assessed by the physio team over the next few days once the pain has settled down.
We all wish Will, who has started the last 14 games, a speedy recovery.
