Derry City’s under-17’s took part in the inaugural Elite Cup competition at Inver Park on Saturday.
The three-team tournament also featured hosts Larne FC as well as Shamrock Rovers, the eventual winners.
City lost their opening game 4-0 to a strong ‘Hoops’ team before completing their programme with a 3-1 win over the home side.
Rovers closed out their day with a similar scoreline success over Larne to take home the spoils.
Technical Director Mark McChrystal said the mini-tournament was a great initiative that gave the Brandywell side a chance to pit themselves against quality opposition.
