Ben Affleck who? That’s probably what Jennifer Lopez was asking herself on Thursday, Dec. 26 when she found herself hanging out with an A-list star in Aspen, who might also be Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor right now. It was a group outing — not a date — but it definitely set the rumors in motion.
The 55-year-old superstar was seen with Kevin Costner at celebrity hotspot Kemo Sabe and it looked like the group was having a great time, per the photos obtained by Page Six. Lopez dressed in après-ski chic with a black turtleneck, black cowboy hat, and Chanel earrings. She didn’t look like she had a care in the world as she enjoyed the lazy, crazy post-Christmas vacation days.
Costner held court while showing a friend something on his phone, but he wasn’t interacting with Lopez, who was engaged in a separate conversation. The 69-year-old actor is also conveniently single after divorcing Christine Baumgartner in 2023. There are no cozy moments to report, but it’s no secret that Lopez is a big Yellowstone fan — and it was Affleck who spilled the tea.
“I’m kind of disturbed that my wife really likes Yellowstone,” Affleck shared on The Bill Simmons Podcast in March 2023. “Part of me thinks that she’s really drawn to the romance between Cole Hauser and [Kelly Reilly].” It would be a pretty epic rebound romance for both Lopez and Costner if they began dating, but the Horizon: An American Saga star seems reticent about love in the spotlight.
Costner got a little testy with Entertainment Tonight when they offered to fix him up with Today anchor Hoda Kotb, who had noticeable chemistry with him during their June interview. “Well look, I’m not on a national dating service. I appreciate the goodwill,” Costner said. “She’s been great to me. When I go back there … people treat me well. They treat me good. And she’s got a spark, and we’ve never had coffee together. Look, you know, I know how to meet girls if I have to.”
Besides Kotb, Costner has been seen flirting with Sharon Stone while Kristin Cavallari decided to shoot her shot and declare him her “forever crush” on an Instagram Story Q&A in mid-December. Lopez might not be jumping into the dating pool right now since her divorce from Affleck isn’t even finalized, but a Costner-Lopez pairing would be monumental.
Maybe we will add that pairing to our 2025 Bingo card.
