A 53-YEAR-OLD woman explained how she went from dating men her own age or older to becoming a fully-fledged cougar.
She also revealed some of the hate she gets for her approach to dating.
In her viral video, the TikTok user who goes by Hella Cougar (@hellacougar) recalled the moment she knew she was attracted to younger men and how that led her to become a “raging cougar.”
She explained that when she was 38 and in a committed relationship when she had the revelation.
During a trip to her local shopping centre, she noticed the staff and models at the Abercrombie store and recalled how she “stopped in my tracks.”
She described feeling “confused” and “mind-blown” by her sudden attraction to the younger men.
While she “laughed it off,” she admitted to “noticing younger men more and more.”
The cougar explained how up until that point, she “had always gone for guys who were much older.”
She even joked with her friend to look for her in the “nearest Abercrombie store” if she ever became single.
And when she was nearing 40, the TikToker found herself fresh out of a relationship.
She went on a yoga treat to a tropical destination, where she met a man 10 years her junior.
“I had an amazing time, [he] rocked my world,” the older woman recalled.
However, she still entered into a relastionship with an older man, who she stayed with until she was in her late 40s.
After that didn’t work out she realised she was “finally done” with older men.
The woman described how her dating life “did a 50 year swing at the time.”
She recalled how she went from dating a 72-year-old to a 22-year-old almost overnight.
And the cougar hasn’t looked back since, dating a string of “hunky” younger men.
“I’ve had a few age appropriate dates over those years and they’ve been phenomenal but the vast majority of my dates have been with guys much younger and it’s been a wild ride,” she said.
She even ran into a significantly younger Tinder hook-up on a flight recently.
Some people have shared criticisms of her romantic life, saying she is “not a classy lady.”
They pointed out that most of her dates are “young enough to be your son.”
However, the TikToker said she won’t let the haters get to her and will continue dating who she likes.
