Good Friday evening!
The mild weather has stuck around, but now we're adding in some rain before we head into the weekend! Showers will remain steady and consistent for this evening and taper into the weekend. But, there is a lot more rain on the way before the year ends.
We're getting the first of two parts of this system as we end off the week. A warm lifting into the area will bring in more rain for the second half of Friday. Rain chances taper tonight, leaving a few stray showers and some misting possible for Saturday morning. Clouds will remain for the majority of Saturday even after we dry out.
Temperatures will continue to get a major boost over the weekend. We're already 10 degrees above normal. The thermometer will soar to around 60 degrees for both Saturday and Sunday. That will eventually put us roughly 20 degrees above normal.
The second part of this system will move in on Sunday. That will bring in a dramatic increase in rain chances for Sunday, but we'll dry out by Monday. Temperatures will cool down to the lower 50s for the final days of the year.
New Year's Eve will see a slight return of some more rain. Temperatures continuing to cool to the 30s for New Year's Day will give us a chance of seeing some mixed showers or wintry precipitation. To start off 2025, temperatures will continue to cool below freezing, but we'll see drier weather.
