BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A man who has been accused of smashing windows at multiple Clinton Street storefronts and causing thousands of dollars in damages was arrested Thursday, according to the Buffalo Police Department.
Leroy Scott, 40, of Buffalo was charged with one count of criminal mischief in the second degree, a class D felony, and one count of the same charge in the third degree, a class E felony. BPD said more charges are expected.
The first window Scott allegedly smashed in connection with this arrest was on Dec. 19 at a business on Clinton, near Barnard Street, which caused around $4,000 in damages. After investigation, the incident was linked to several other smashed window incidents along Clinton Street, with bricks or other means used to break the windows.
On Christmas Day, Scott allegedly smashed a window on Clinton, near Gorski Street. He was apprehended without incident the following day.
This arrest follows a Nov. 26, 2024 arrest made after Scott allegedly smashed with a bottle a residential window on Weimar Street, just off Clinton. At the time he was charged with one count of criminal mischief in the third degree.
