Kith released several compelling collaborations throughout 2024 — and the brand is not done.
Before year’s end, the Ronnie Fieg-led imprint will deliver its second project with Salomon, which features two new silhouettes: the XT-4K and the XT-Voyager.
The XT-4K, Kith explained in a statement, is a custom redesign of the XT-4, the highlight of Salomon’s Sportstyle range. The most notable characteristic is the Kith wordmark that is integrated into the shoe’s TPU overlays. Also, the wordmark appears on the shoe’s lateral panel and tongue, and Kith for Salomon branding was added to both the heel and sockliner. Kith and Salomon will release the XT-4K in two colorways: a predominantly black look with hits of red and green and another executed in white and red.
The second shoe from the collection is the Kith for Salomon XT-Voyager, another new silhouette. Kith explained the shoe was inspired by Salomon’s archival Adventure 7 Hi-Top Boot from 1994. The materials employed for the uppers include mesh, suede and ripstop, and there is a zipper closure. There is Kith for Salomon co-branding throughout the look, and four hues from the Kith Palette — blue, gray, white and red — were used.
In terms of tech, both the XT-4K and the XT-Voyager feature Salomon’s dual-density midsoles for comfort and full-length Agile Chassis Skeleton for stability, as well as its Contagrip rubber outsoles for all-terrain traction.
Kith for Salomon 2024 will be available on Dec. 27 via drawing in the Kith App. Kith also stated limited quantities will be available on Dec. 30 at its stores, and at 11 a.m. ET via Kith.com, CA.Kith.com, EU.Kith.com and the Kith App.
Fieg and Kith delivered seemingly endless compelling collaborations in 2024. Some of the year’s highlights included the Kith for Marvel and Asics 85th Anniversary “Super Villains” collection, the 8th Street by Ronnie Fieg for Adidas Originals and Clarks Originals range for winter 2024 and the Kith for Columbia collection release in April.
