Liverpool make the 180-mile trip to the London Stadium on Sunday looking to further boost their advantage at the top of the Premier League.
The Reds overcame an early scare against Leicester on Boxing Day to run out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones and Mohamed Salah.
It might have been a foggy evening on Merseyside, but it was abundantly clear to everyone watching that Arne Slot’s side are worthy favourites to clinch the title.
They are now priced at odds-on 3/10 to win the Premier League with Arsenal their closest challengers at 10/3 and champions Manchester City miles back at a bumper 50/1.
In the 2018-19 season, they led by 10 points only for Pep Guardiola’s side to win, but it’s obviously a different landscape these days.
Liverpool will move 10 points clear of nearest rivals Chelsea if they win at West Ham on Sunday as Enzo Maresca’s side do not play until the following day at Ipswich.
And they’ll enter the encounter full of confidence.
Not only do Liverpool have a commanding lead at the top of the Premier League, they are also top of the Champions League table and in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Liverpool have won 22 of Arne Slot’s first 26 matches in charge in all competitions, no side can better their tally of 20 league points away from home and nobody has netted more than their 40 goals.
West Ham, meanwhile, are looking in better form having now gone four matches without defeat (W2, D2), winning their Boxing Day clash against Southampton 1-0.
Julen Lopetegui’s position is looking a little more secure after a good spell. Having lost their first three home league games of the season, the Hammers have now won three of their last six – losing only to Arsenal.
However, this hasn’t been a particularly pleasant fixture for them in recent years following a run of six losses in their last seven meetings against Liverpool.

These matches between West Ham United and Liverpool are often a great spectacle… mainly for Liverpool supporters and neutrals.
The Reds won their Carabao Cup encounter earlier this season 5-1 at Anfield, and have netted 3+ goals against West Ham in five of their last 11 meetings in all competitions. In fact of their last 11 clashes, only twice has there been less than 2.5 goals scored.
