There is one catch, though.
It only applies to decorations that they had up in the store throughout December and planned to throw out anyway.
Shopper Katie Weldon managed to go home with a huge disco snowman decoration on Boxing Day this year.
“I’ve been wanting one of these from the M&S displays since they were put up,” she shared.
“I asked in store what they do with them and they said they ‘just get thrown’!
“It’s going to be perfect for Santa’s grotto at my SEN school next year.”
Katie took to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group to boast about her find.
“I didn’t know stores just bin them,” one shocked Brit commented.
“I asked my local store for three and they gave them all to me,” a second beamed.
A third revealed that they were able to purchase an ex-display Christmas tree from Matalan for cheap a few years ago, proving other stores are offering this too.
A current Tesco employee further shared that her store bins display decorations unless customers ask for them too.
A former M&S manager has shared his secret to finding Boxing Day bargains.
Gavin Foley, 40, from Southampton was a managing director at M&S for eight years.
He shared: “My biggest tip if you want to go in person, is don’t waste your time with the small shops for the sale, everything gets sent to superstores.
“Head to the largest M&S near you for more choice but be prepared to queue.”
