EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- An Albany man faces multiple charges relating to multiple car break-ins reported in Sand Lake. Albert Lindh, 34, faces 21 charges.
On Dec. 13, state police received complaints of multiple car break-ins. Upon an initial investigation, it was discovered that credit cards and other items had been stolen from different cars overnight.
During further investigation into the crimes, police reportedly discovered a person, later identified as Lindh, was trying to use the stolen cards in East Greenbush. When troopers responded to the area where a credit card was last attempted, Lindh was found walking and was arrested.
According to state police, at the time of his arrest, he was reportedly found with multiple stolen credit cards from the break-ins, and he had allegedly possessed multiple glass smoking devices containing drug residue. Troopers say he was uncooperative with the investigation, but police continued to investigate the stolen property.
Troopers said after a further investigation, the property Lindh had during his arrest had been reportedly stolen from a car in East Greenbush overnight between Dec. 11 and Dec. 12.
After processing, he was arraigned at the Schaghticoke Town Court. Lindh was then remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility, where he is being held without bail.
