Police have issued an urgent appeal to help find a woman last seen Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea Beavers, 25, was last seen at about 2.30 pm on Saturday, police said, after being spotted in the North Shields area.
Her family are becoming more concerned for her welfare after the young woman missed Christmas celebrations.
Candice Beavers, Chelsea’s sister, wrote on Facebook that she had gone missing shortly after she was discharged from Cramlington Hospital.
‘Chelsea’s phone has pinged in Dumphries yesterday and her cards have also been used in that area,’ she wrote.
‘Chelsea was in a vulnerable state we are all very worried about her and just need her home safe and well, the police are also looking for her.’
Police are asking the public to report any sightings of Chelsea, who is described as white, 5ft 6in, and slim with long blonde hair which is usually worn in a ponytail.
A police spokesman said: ‘Chelsea, or anyone who knows where she might be, should contact Northumbria Police by sending a direct message on social media or using the live chat function on the Force’s website.”
