While details are scarce, Levine speculated that “about 12-15 teams” figure to make some sort of a run for the Japanese phenom. The teams known to have met with Sasaki so far include the Mets, Yankees, Cubs, Rangers, and possibly the Giants.

Now 39, Martin has already voiced his desire for 2025 to be his final season in the majors. However, that may not be due to a lack of ability. In 44 1/3 innings last year, the veteran struck out 50 while putting up a solid 3.45 ERA.
