A BOYFRIEND savagely bought his girlfriend a cat and got her to make Christmas dinner – despite having a plan to break up with her.
The girlfriend was left distraught after discovering what her partner had planned to do and is now desperately seeking advice.

The title of the post read: “I found my boyfriend’s break-up plan and I’m just tired.”
She began: “I found my partner’s plan for breaking up with me – a dot point list.
“I called him and he came over and we talked. He said the spark is gone and I haven’t done anything wrong, but he’s been planning it for months.
“Part of his break up plan was getting me a cat so that when he’s gone I won’t be lonely.
“I didn’t know this when we got the cat. I thought we were making a commitment.
“Now everytime I look at the poor thing I feel sick in my stomach. I love him to bits but having him around hurts so damn much.
“I feel used. He’s been telling me he loves me for months but hasn’t meant it.
“In the meantime, I’ve cooked and cleaned and tried my best for him.
“I even cooked his entire family Christmas dinner.”
She explained he dropped “this bomb” two weeks into her postgraduate degree and now she feels like her world “is crumbling”.
The woman continues: “In a day I’ve gone from happy to financially unstable, unable to eat, drink, sleep and concentrate, and questioning every friendship I have because if he’s lied to me for so long, who else has?
“I’m considering dropping my postgraduate degree, I feel worthless and useless and I can’t focus anymore.
“I’m so tired of running as fast as I can to stay in the same place.”
The post gained a lot of attention, with many rushing to share their thoughts and support for the girlfriend.
One wrote: “Right. [The] ex-boyfriend doesn’t sound like a bad guy, but also there’s never a good way to do this. Good luck and stay strong.”
Another added: “I know it hurts right now and it may seem hopeless and you may find no joy in anything.
He follows me everywhere but I feel sick everytime I see him

“However, things do get better a tiny bit each day.
“Just focus on your degree and your life and let yourself grieve.
“This is a part of life that is hard and depressing but you will come out a better person.
“To your cat you are his entire world, he will love you no matter what and don’t let this break up get between your car and you.
“Don’t let this breakup corrode your entire life, this is hard and sad but there will be a light and each day will make it a little bit better for the next day.”
After receiving the responses, the girlfriend then added to her post: “Thanks for all the encouragement and shared stories guys.
“I didn’t anticipate this garnering much attention, I just needed to get it out somehow. The reason I mentioned my studies is because in the past I was really unwell and hospitalised for a long period which affected university.
“I feel like I’ve just gotten better and then been hit in the face with this. I wouldn’t drop my degree solely because of a guy, I’m just at my wits end with life atm (at the moment).
“My… Ex… Isn’t a bad guy, he’s just planned this in such a shit way. I’m not sure what will happen with the cat yet.
“He follows me everywhere but I feel sick everytime I see him. The poor f***ing thing didn’t ask for this and we only got him a few weeks ago.”
