Enthusiastically commenting on the pitch condition at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Australian skipper, Pat Cummins, observed it as being pleasantly solid with a noticeable carpet of grass. He hinted this might serve as an advantage for spinner Nathan Lyon.
