Mumbai: Vinod Kambli, a former Indian cricketer, rose to fame in the early 1990s for his outstanding batting skills. Recently, his health has been a source of concern. Last week, the former cricketer was taken to the hospital after experiencing muscle cramps and dizziness at home. His career took a downward turn due to his struggles with alcohol addiction and the temptations of glamour. These complications caused various health problems, culminating in such a dramatic change in his look that many people no longer recognize him.
Kambli’s personal life has been marked by several challenges. Earlier in 1998, Kambli married Noella Lewis, who was said to be working as a receptionist at a hotel in Pune. However, their marriage was short-lived and ended in divorce. It is reported that Noella struggled with Vinod’s alcohol addiction, which played an important role in the dissolution of their relationship.
Following this, Vinod Kambli found love once again in 2000, this time with model Andrea Hewitt. The couple married in 2014 at St. Peter’s Church on Hill Road in Bandra. In order to marry Andrea, Vinod changed his religion. He converted to her religion.
Andrea Hewitt, wife of Vinod Kambli, began her career as a model with the jewelry brand Tanishq and later worked as a beauty consultant in Mumbai for several years. Vinod Kambli’s second wife, Andrea Hewitt, was once a prominent figure in the modeling world, often gracing the front pages of magazines. Just like her husband, Andrea has also been at the center of controversy. The controversy between Andrea Hewitt and Ankit Tiwari’s father, Raj Kumar Tiwari, was about an assault. Andrea stated that Raj Kumar Tiwari, the father of Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari had attempted to touch her inappropriately, while Raj Kumar Tiwari alleged that she removed her sandal to strike him.
Vinod and Andrea’s relationship has also been full of ups and downs. Bandra police served notice to Vinod Kambli in February 2023 directing him to appear before police for investigation in connection to the case registered against the former cricketer for allegedly assaulting his wife.
As per the news agency ANI report (2023), the case was registered on a complaint from Andrea, in which she alleged that Kambli, in an inebriated state, threw the handle of a cooking pan at her due to which she suffered a head injury. Following this incident of domestic violence, Andrea decided to leave their home. However, it is unclear whether she still lives with Vinod or not, as the situation remains uncertain.
