PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Grotto's Festival of Lights is bringing holiday cheer to people on Christmas Eve.
The Northeast Portland attraction is open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. The event is closed on Christmas Day but will reopen on Thursday, Dec. 26, and operates every day until Monday, Dec. 31.
Patrons can enjoy caroling, puppet shows, a giant walk-through Christmas tree and a whopping two million lights as organizers with The Grotto say they're "celebrating the true meaning of Christmas with song and joy."
It also serves as an opportunity to give back as people are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to The Grotto for the charity SnowCap.
