SHIRLEY, N.Y. (PIX11) – Human remains were found on a Long Island beach on Monday, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
A man and a woman at Smith Point County Park in Shirley discovered what appeared to be a human jawbone around 5 p.m., police said.
They brought the remains to a park attendant, who called the police. The medical examiner will work to identify the remains, according to authorities.
