New Delhi: On Christmas Eve, India’s multi-talented cricketer, Axar Patel, revealed the joyous news of becoming a father for the first time. Axar, alongside his spouse Meha, jubilantly announced via an Instagram post that they embraced the arrival of their newborn on December 19, 2024.
Axar and Meha revealed on their Instagram that their little one was adorned in a custom-made India jersey. Along with the adorable picture, they penned down a heartfelt note and introduced their baby to the world by the name of Haksh Patel.

During the media interaction before the Boxing Day Test, Rohit Sharma, India’s team captain, made it clear that Axar Patel wouldn’t partake in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy line-up this time around because he’s away on paternity leave. Therefore, he hasn’t been named in the playing list for any of the Tests in this ongoing series.
“Tanush Kotian played here in Australia a month back with India A and performed well,” said Sharma. “Kuldeep Yadav wasn’t 100% fit and faced visa issues, while Axar Patel had just welcomed a baby into his family. Kotian was the best option available, given his readiness and recent form.”
On the 7th of October, Axar, alongside his wife Meha, joyfully announced they’re expecting a baby. Axar, taking to Instagram, shared an emotionally resonating video officially broadcasting his soon-to-be new status as a father.
In a grand event in January 2023, Axar and Meha vowed their everlasting love for each other. He shared a heartwarming video on his social handles, capturing endearing moments from Meha’s baby shower – a festive occasion where both families were present. Exuding excitement in his post, Axar hinted that their family is about to receive an incredible bundle of joy soon.
