KIERAN Culkin has lifted the lid on why his children aren’t allowed to watch Home Alone.
The Succession actor, 42, was just seven years old when he landed a supporting role alongside his brother Macaulay in the iconic Christmas movie.

Kieran, who played Kevin McCallister’s younger brother Fuller in Home Alone, revealed why he banned it while speaking at The Gothams 34th Annual Film Awards in New York.
Talking to E! News on the red carpet, he said: “There’s still some scary parts.
“For the three-year-old, there’s the tarantula and there’s the guy at the end who said, ‘I’m gonna bite off all your fingers’.
“That’s scary for a three-year-old.”
Kieran did, however, admit that he might change his strict stance next Christmas.
Home Alone hit the big screen in December 1990 and it has become a favourite Christmas movie globally.
Kieran’s older brother Macaulay was 11 years old when he took on the lead role of Kevin.
The plot follows Kevin after he gets left behind at home when his family travel to France for the Christmas holidays.
The youngster then develops an elaborate plot to snare Harry and Marv, two local burglars played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, while his desperate mother tries to get home to him.
In the movie, Kieran played Fuller – Kevin’s bed-wetting little brother.
Kieran has since reflected on Macaulay’s life after appearing in Home Alone and its sequel Home Along: Lost In New York, as the movies propelled him to global super-stardom.
In an interview on the Fresh Air podcast with Terry Gross, Kevin previously said: “It was pretty nuts. And I think what people sometimes fail to remember, too, is that he was a kid.
“He didn’t really choose that. It’s something that happened to him.
“And I think when you’re a kid, you obviously don’t have the tools to handle something like that. So I think it might have been pretty tough.”
Kieran added: “For me, I got to sort of experience it secondhand as a child. So to me, I always have known this is not something one would want to pursue.
“It’s not a very nice thing, fame. No anonymity, it’s terrible.”

Most recently, he is best known for playing the role of Roman Roy in the US drama series Succession.
His older brother Macaulay, meanwhile, also continues to work in the entertainment industry as an actor, musician, producer and director.
Macaulay is engaged to fellow child star Brenda Song and they also have two children together, Dakota, three, and Carson, 22 months.
Home Alone, however, is not banned in their house.
Last year, Macaulay, 44, told Entertainment Tonight that Dakota has already watched it.
“I already showed it to him last year, he thinks it’s so funny,” he said. “I convinced my oldest that he’s the kid in the movie.
‘I said, ‘Remember you had yellow hair? Remember when you were getting the bad guys?’
“He’s like, ‘Yeah!’ He is such a liar. I’m like, ‘You don’t remember any of that’.”
