A HAIRDRESSER who was so embarrassed by her broken, overbleached locks has shared a cheap TK Maxx buy that’s changed her life.
Hannah explained that she hated the way the front of her hair stuck up thanks to years of bleaching it blonde and blowdrying it.
Hairdresser Hannah admitted she couldn’t stand the way her broken bits of hair at the front always stuck out[/caption]And whatever she did, she didn’t seem to be able to restore her hair health in that area.
So she came up with a nifty way to hide the broken piece, by tucking it under the rest of her hair behind her ear.
However, it wasn’t until she came across a cheap buy in TK Maxx that she started being able to fix the damaged hair.
In a video ad on TikTok, Hannah admitted: “I’ve been so ashamed of this for so many years.
“Sounds dramatic, but can you imagine being a hairdresser who recommends products to their clients, but the hair is constantly broken at the front?
“Not just a one-off, but broken for years.
“No matter what products I used, I just couldn’t stop my hair from breaking.”
While she’s guilty of “over bleaching and blow drying” her “naturally fine” hair, she also admitted it was all she could focus on when she started creating content online.
As she sighed: “I’d watch it back, and all I could see was that bloody tuft of hair!
“I don’t have frizzy hair, but it almost looked frizzy.
“It made me so self-conscious, but I just dealt with it for years and years, because I wanted to be blonde.”
But she then came across Colour Wow’s Kale-infused Dream Cocktail, which quickly started to make the wispy areas “stronger”, meaning they didn’t “continue to snap, even when I bleached it”.
“This may sound silly to you, but for something that made me self-conscious for years, I am so grateful to finally find a product that’s transformed my hair and my confidence,” Hannah continued, adding that she still bleaches and blow dries her hair.
In the caption for the video, Hannah wrote: “I thought I would always have tentacles.
We can lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day, according to the NHS.
It is not usually something to worry about, but occasional it can be a sign of a medical concern.
These include illness, stress, cancer treatment, weight loss and iron deficiency.
The NHS advises to book an appointment with your GP to see if you can get to the cause of it.
Experts at American Academy of Dermatology Association also recommend to eat healthy, limit curling irons and only use them for special occasions.
They also recommend using a gentle shampoo, and make use of leave-in conditioners.
“But my hair is stronger after just one use.”
She credited regular use of the spray for three to four months for “totally transforming” her hair, as she concluded: “Now I use it every single wash!”
While the leave in treatment retails for £25, it can be purchased from TK Maxx for just £19.99.
