Reports that the Magdeburg Christmas market terrorist was “Islamophobic” don’t hold water, the billionaire believes
Billionaire Elon Musk has accused “legacy media” of “lying again” in coverage of the terrorist attack in the German city of Magdeburg.
A car mowed through a crowd of holiday goers at a Christmas market last Friday evening, killing at least five people and reportedly injuring 200 more.
The suspect was identified by authorities as a Saudi national with a prior criminal record. According to local media, the 50-year-old is a vocal Islamophobe, who has been residing in Germany since 2006. Riyadh had contacted Berlin to red flag him as a security risk.
Musk, who has called for Chancellor Olaf Scholz to resign over the incident, has accused the media of lying about the suspect’s views, reposting on Sunday on X a message by a popular conservative account relaying the same message.
