Sofía Vergara Is ‘Hoping’ She and Ex Justin Saliman Can Get To This Stage, Per Insiders

Anyone who follows Sofía Vergara on social media knows the Modern Family alum seems to be doing fairly well following her split from Justin Saliman. The actress and the orthopedic surgeon were first romantically linked in October 2023 — just months after her seven-year marriage to Joe Manganiello ended —  and called it quits after about a year of dating. Their relationship, which began with low-key outings, quickly became serious, with Vergara even hinting at love on social media. But last October, she hinted that she was once again single.

Now, insiders are shedding light on where the exes may stand post-breakup, and apparently, Sofía is in no rush to look back. “Sofía’s not crying into her pillow over Justin,” a source spilled to a magazine. “She’s out there having fun and showing off her fabulous figure.” She’s been back to Casa Chipi Chipi —  a secret, beach getaway she used to frequent with Manganiello — and has been leading the jet-set life with her pup, Amore. 

But while Vergara seems to be living her best life, sources suggest that she’s hopeful she and Saliman can still maintain some kind of connection. “Their lives are so different right now, but Sofía hopes they can be friends,” the insider revealed. “Sofía’s all about spontaneity and having fun, and Justin’s a professional with a schedule; he can’t jet off at the last moment,” they added, per OK Magazine.

That contrast may have been one of the reasons behind their split. While Vergara enjoys a host of close-knit gatherings, red carpets, and adventurous getaways, Saliman’s lifestyle as a top-tier surgeon doesn’t leave much room for spur-of-the-moment plans.
