WE all love a bargain, especially when it’s from some of the best high-street stores out there.
With the famous Boxing Day sales just around the corner, some brands are giving fashion fans an early festive treat by starting their sales on Christmas Day.
Shoppers are preparing for their favourite Zara items to go on sale[/caption] Catherine took to TikTok and explained that every year Zara start their sales at the same time[/caption]One place in particular is Zara, where shoppers are already preparing for huge discounts from their favourite store.
Although Zara hasn’t officially announced that they are bringing their Boxing Day sale forward, one shopper has said they begin it at 9pm on Christmas Day, and it has been the same for her every year.
This shopper took to TikTok to reveal a hack she discovered for ensuring you bag the best items for cheap.
Catherine, who goes by the name of ‘carrieinthecity41’ on her social media page, shared a video telling her followers “everything” they “need to know about the Zara Christmas Day online sale.”
Videoing herself talking to the camera, she said: “If like me you love Zara and you love a bargain you need to know about the Zara Christmas Day Sale.
“It usually goes live on Christmas Day on the app at about nine o’clock, and on the website at about ten o’clock – so you can’t buy anything until exactly 9pm.
“However, the sale items get reduced during the day on the app.
“So, you need to go online during the day maybe after your Christmas dinner and add everything to your basket that you’re going to want to buy and it then sits there in your basket ready for the sale to go live.
“So as soon as it gets to nine o’clock, cross your fingers first, get those items checked out and then you hopefully get everything that you want.
“Items are usually reduced by I think up to 40% off, so get some really nice pieces and save a fortune. You’re welcome!”
Many people rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One wrote: “Why is NO ONE else talking about the upcoming sale? It’s only a week away.”
Zara was founded in 1975 in Spain, and the first UK store was opened in 1998. It remains as one of the most popular stores on the high street, but why?
Rather than producing more quantities of a style, it is said Zara focuses on producing more styles.
Some stats suggest Zara releases 24 trend-led collections every year, 500 designs a week and almost 20,000 per year. Other estimates put its production levels at 450 million garments a year.
Even if a style sells out very quickly, there are new styles waiting to take up the space. This means more choices and higher chance of getting it right with the consumer.
Zara only allows its designs to remain on the shop floor for three to four weeks, and this pushes the consumer to keep visiting the store or website, because if they were just a week late, the clothes of a particular style or trend would be sold out and replaced with a new trend.
At the same time, this constant refreshing of the lines and styles carried by its stores also entices customers to visit its shops more frequently.
But unsure on her advice, a second mentioned: “They clear the baskets.”
To which Catherine replied: “No, that’s not true, maybe you weren’t logged in, so it didn’t save your basket?

She also added an additional comment: “I’ve successfully ordered over £500 worth the last two years, with no items missing.
“I set an alarm on my phone for a few minutes before and then start refreshing the app from 8:58pm, then press checkout.”
