Donald Trump Jr.’s new girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, is not only making waves in Palm Beach, Florida, there are reports that she’s interested in making her mark in Washington, D.C. circles. The 38-year-old socialite might be campaigning for a White House philanthropic role and not everyone is thrilled.
A political insider shared with the New York Post that Anderson would like to serve on one of Donald Trump’s “community outreach boards or advisory committees.” She also has a goal in mind — a spot on the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities. A second source added that Anderson believes she would be an asset since she could bring “the more sophisticated and liberal Hamptons and Palm Beach types of people” to the table.
That would be quite a quick rise to the top, considering she’s been with Donald Jr. for six months, per People, and not everyone is happy about her presence. The first insider noted, “Being a wannabe influencer is nothing new in this world — but is she an influencer or an infiltrator?” Their sentiments echo what a Daily Mail insider expressed about Anderson becoming a “headache” for Donald Trump’s second administration.
Donald Trump’s inner circle reportedly believes that she’s a “liability” for the Trump family because she was never “MAGA to begin with.” Of course, Donald Jr.’s representative told the New York Post that the story of her White House aspirations is false. “This is totally wrong — not only is she not getting one she has never brought up wanting one,” they said. But Anderson can’t stay out of the headlines after it was reported by People that she wanted Donald Jr.’s former fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle “out of the area.”
Guilfoyle has been nominated as the ambassador to Greece, so she will be far away from her ex’s Palm Beach life. “They are trying to send Kim abroad,” the insider added. “They waited for the election to pass but they didn’t want the split to get in the way of anything to hurt Donald in the election.”
The Trump family seems protective over Anderson and is pushing back on any professional or personal allegations about her. Still, she is making her presence known — a Palm Beach socialite is the town’s biggest star.
